MILES/TES Technician (Level 1) PTOC, MSC-JRTC

Performs functional checks, issue, installation, troubleshooting, and physical inventories of all MILES/TES equipment used at the Joint Readiness Training Center. Duties are performed under a variety of conditions that include, but are not limited to, the following: outdoors in all climatic conditions; in and from non-climate controlled warehouses; in and from non-permanent structures located throughout the JRTC maneuver training area; and, in and from mobile contact trucks. Shift work is routinely required during periods of rotational training exercise support which typically occurs over a four week period for 10 months each year. Shift work may also be required to support time-sensitive mission requirements on short notice. Work schedules are subject to change at any time based on Performance Work Statement requirements. Technicians are required to operate motor vehicles, hand and/or power trucks, forklifts, and other equipment. Technicians are required to wear uniforms and maintain appearance standards consistent with Branch standards. Work is occasionally performed at off-site locations that may require travel for periods of up to four weeks. Technicians occasionally travel to Home Stations to issue MILES equipment for rotational use. Technicians will be required to perform other duties as assigned consistent with their occupational specialty and organizational requirements.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be in good physical condition capable of prolonged sitting, standing and walking; must be able to repeatedly lift heavy or bulky objects up to 50 LBS; must be able to work irregular hours and weekends; must be able to travel alone throughout the continental US and foreign countries; must submit to regular random urinalysis drug testing; must possess a valid state driver's license and must be able to obtain a Forklift License.
Required
Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Desired
Experience: Proficiency in military map reading, radio communications procedures, and driving with the use of night vision devices; proficiency in the use of standard electronic testing and diagnostic equipment; previous experience in the essential job duties described above; previous instructor experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
