Constructive Training Division Branch Chief
Essential Job Duties:
Chief of the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) Constructive Training Division (CTD). You will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the JRTC Battle Simulation Center and associated personnel and equipment in accordance with the Performance Work Statement, government directions, corporate policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. The CTD is responsible for supporting rotations at the JRTC by providing a Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) interface and appropriate Simulations and Stimulations (SIMS/STIMS) that support the Situational Training Exercise (STX), the Command Post Exercise (CPX) and the Force-on-Force (FOF) Exercise for rotations. Responsible for planning and advising the JRTC on, and coordinating all LVC activities in accordance with rotational exercise scenarios. Supervise and provide guidance for personnel involved in updating, administering and operating simulation computers and other associated equipment that make up the Army's Joint Land Component Constructive Capability-Entity Resolution Federation (JLCCTC-ERF). Integrate virtual and constructive assets into the live JRTC rotational scenarios, focusing on unit training objectives. Advise the government and provide recommendations concerning the inclusion of new systems and technologies, including but not limited to, fielding of additional constructive and/or virtual system components or capabilities and changes in organization tactics, and/or doctrine.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
Must be able to travel alone to continental US and foreign locations.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Required:
Military or civilian supervisory experience in the development and execution of combat simulation exercises at the BCT level or higher.
MEL IV Graduate.
BS degree in computer science or related field.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired:
Experience in planning and executing blended or integrated Live Virtual Constructive exercises.
Joint experience, JSO qualified.
3 or more years experience with JLCCTC-ERF exercises.
