The Office Coordinator is a professional customer service representative responsible for ensuring all office procedures are carried out per policy, procedure and protocol. This includes the greeting of patients, registration process, medical record process and medical coding. ICD-9-CM and CPT current edition are used. All work is carried out in accordance with the CHS approved policies and procedures. Works in conjunction with outside billing representatives to coordinate all required data. Coordinates completion of denial log/error report. Reports to the Director of Clinic Operations or designee.

Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Certifications / Licenses:
Current CPR mandatory

Experience:
Must possess in-depth knowledge of medical and anatomical terminology, reimbursement principles, health record content and sequencing of diagnoses.
Experience a must for this position due to the specialty knowledge base associated with coding requirement/guidelines.
Must possess equivalent training/experience in outpatient medical coding and customer service to accomplish duties.
