Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves 1) dispatching fire, police and emergency medical services on the initial response to the scene of an incident and serving as initial point of telephone contact for the public seeking emergency and/or non-emergency fire, police or medical services; 2) preparing and maintaining a communication log of incoming telephone calls and radio transmissions; 3) monitoring Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) screens trained on sensitive areas for security reasons; 4) recording prescribed information for call back/identification purposes and/or 5) determining priority of response and surveying the area where the services are required for available responding units. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). AND Typing Proficiency:
This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
